Miss Justine Principal

justine show collection june 2015-6343I began dancing aged three at the Bristol School of Dancing and appeared regularly in pantomimes & shows at the Bristol Hippodrome. After leaving school I trained at Laine Theatre Arts studying dance/drama & teaching. My first work was in Japan and I continued dancing in shows abroad and in the UK for five years, combining this with teaching in Bristol. I was also a supporting artist in film and TV and in 2003 worked on the film Vanity Fair as a double for Reese Witherspoon. Before taking over at Stockwood in 1998, I free-lanced at various dance schools in the Bristol area, UK. After moving to Spain in 2001, I opened a dance school in Sitges. In October 2014 I started teaching Tap at the new university: IAB – Institute of Arts Barcelona.

 

Fernando K. Quevedo

Fernando K. QuevedoFernando K. Quevedo began his studies in Sociology at California State University S.M.  in San Diego; later he studied Fashion Design and Merchandising at the Fashion Institute  of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. After some time in the Fashion  industry Fernando found a passion for the performing arts. Fernando graduated with a BA  degree in Dance and a MA degree in Dance, Choreography and Performance from  Liverpool John Moores University.  Fernando has been lucky to train from some of the most well known artists in the United  States. Previous to his university studies, Fernando was a scholarship student at Culture  Shock Dance Center in San Diego, California. Then followed by 3 consecutive years at  San Diego’s Academy of Performing Arts (APA) training in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop,  commercial dance, singing and acting.  Fernando has performed with companies all through-out Southern California. He also has  performed internationally in Peru’s “Dancing with the Stars”, in Barcelona at the Redken  Symposium under the direction of Bonnie Story, and in Madrid with Martz Dance  Company under the direction of Eva Martz.  Currently Fernando is a freelance dancer/ choreographer/ teacher/ artistic development  coach, and works as a teacher at Justine Garner Dance School in Sitges, Barcelona.  

Tina Rodgers

Tina RodgersTina is a Fellow and Vocational Examiner for the Imperial Ballet, Modern and Tap Dance Faculties. She is also a freelance choreographer and dance lecturer and a fully registered teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance. Prior to moving to Spain 6 years ago, Tina was principal of the Footlights Performing Arts Centre in Norfolk, UK. In her role as a choreographer Tina has produced work for many different professional companies both in the UK and abroad. Her pupils were selected to perform at the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Congress and appeared on the Imperial training videos. They were also chosen to perform at the celebrity gala opening of the Walt Disney Studios in Paris and Tina was commissioned to do the choreography for this event. As well as having winners of the Imperial Ballet Awards, Marjory Davis Star Tap Awards, Janet Cram Modern Awards and All England Dance Competition, Tina’s competition team also won the Mardi Gras Dance Challenge both times that they entered and twice performed on Broadway in New York . Tina now teaches freelance at different dance schools in Spain and continues to examine and choreograph internationally.
